Chinese fans react to Yao’s retirement news – 40.5% feel sad

Soon after Yao Ming’s retirement news came out, China’s major website Sina initiated a poll among Yao’s fans.

Up to July 11th, 2:03am Beijing time, 175,679 people participated in the poll. Among them, 40.5% feel sad and believes Yao deserves more achievements, 23.2% feel calm and was expecting this to happen, and 18.5% feel shocked by the news.
